FAME Presents: The Wardrobe
Written by Lucy Harrison
Last week the team at FAME presented The Wardrobe, our brand new clothing swap initiative inspired by the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 and our ongoing commitment to sustainability. The event saw our members and friends of FAME come together to exchange garbs and conversation while also taking a break from the stress of the ever-looming exam season.
I absolutely scored; grabbing a Y2K pink denim maxi skirt and a beautiful black crop (thanks Lee hehe). Others who attended grabbed Levis, turtlenecks, and vintage graphics and all leftover garments were donated to ensure the swap could be as sustainable and responsible as possible. We are a very fashion-minded team at FAME this year, so it was so fun to come together and bond with the UniMelb community over our love of law and fashion through such a positive and sustainable initiative.
We are so ecstatic over the success of our new initiative and we are so excited to make it an ongoing tradition for semesters (and years) to come. Thank you so much for our friends of FAME who came along, hopefully you secured some really amazing pieces. If you didn’t manage to make it to this one, don’t fret! We have lots more exciting events coming your way ;)
